Visit Dharavandhoo
Located north of Male ‘City, Baa. Dharavandhoo
is an inhabited island with a resident population of 1000. Dharavandhoo is surrounded by Hanifaru Bay and Dharavandhoo Thila. Dharavandhoo lies in the heart of the only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives, and is ideally located to experience the best that this tropical paradise has to offer. Whilst Dhivehi is the Local language, nearly all Maldivians speak English and a few speak other languages as well.
Transportation
Air: Air transport is available from Velana International Airport to the domestic airport located at B.Dharavandhoo. The flights are only 20 minutes long. Approximately 8 flights travel to and from Dharavandhoo.
Sea: Weekly ferries are operated from the capital Male’ to Baa Atoll. The trip is approximately 2 hours long. Private launch transportation can also be arranged upon request.
